Batteries usually come with a partial charge.  Whatever battery you have, we suggest, you fully charge the battery before the first use.  If you think your battery is not charging fully or properly fully discharge the battery and then fully charge.

Gerbing 3.4 Ah Battery

This is the most popular battery from Gerbing and powers most of the gloves, vests, jackets and socks.

To charge

Plug the charger into the wall. The led light/ lights should light up green.  When the battery is connected to the charger the light changes to red.  When fully charged the light will go green or flicker between red and green.  

Please note: Some generations of batteries and chargers are not compatible and will not indicate if the battery is fully charged/ charging.  If the lights on the charger do not change, this does not mean the battery is not charging. If this is the case then please allow 4 hours for full charge.  The lights on the battery do not turn on during charging.

To use

Plug battery into the heated clothing.  Hold down button on battery for at least 3 seconds to turn battery on. Once on, hold down the battery to cycle through the different heat settings or turn it off.

The battery will not turn on unless plugged into the garment.  You can, however, find out how much power is left in the battery by holding down then button when not plugged into a garment.

Works with vests, jackets, hunting blind pad etc.  This item is not compatible with gloves.

To charge

To use

Plug battery into the heated gear.  Hold down the power on button/ set up on battery for at least 2 seconds to turn battery on. Once on you can then press the set up and set down buttons to cycle through the 3 heating options.  Hold down the set down/ power off button to turn the battery off.

The battery will not turn on unless plugged into the garment.  You can, however, find out how much power is left in the battery by holding down either button.  The battery level goes from 1-9.

How to program a new remote with battery

When battery is not connected (to load or charger), Push ON and OFF button on battery at the same time, the battery LED shall read A in flashing (means "address" searching),

Then push the OFF button on remote, the flashing A in LED display shall be OFF.

To test with the battery and remote are matched push remote button OFF within 60seconds after match procedure, the LED in battery should read "F" (means "find or found") or try the battery on load and use remote to control battery.
